Method

What is being compared

Land and housing come from different surveys, so this page keeps them separate and compares volumes and Chinese shares inside each dataset.

Land: national foreign-owned land status, half-year data since 2016 H1, area converted to km² and value to trillion won

Housing: foreign housing ownership, half-year data since 2022 H2, all-foreign summary plus China rows for multi-unit and detached housing

Chinese-owned housing count sums multi-unit and detached housing. Owner counts are not summed for China because owners can overlap across housing types.
